BELDARRAIN Studio has received distinctions such as the National Award for sustainable architectural culture from the Civitas Nova Forum 2007, Porcelanosa Award for sustainability in 2014, COAVN Housing Award 2013, finalist in the XI Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism, in the FAD awards, Saloni awards, Living with wood awards, AVS euskadi awards and COAVN Interior Design awards.

Based on the experience acquired by Juan Beldarrain in the studios of Joseph Paul Kleihues in Berlin and Rafael Moneo in Madrid and San Sebastian, Estudio Beldarrain began its work in 1999.

Since then, they have developed their work understanding architecture as a service activity, which leads them to rely permanently on innovation, not as a merely aesthetic attitude but based on concepts linked to the analysis of the programme, the user, the place, the economy and the construction itself.

For this reason, the studio's team is mainly made up of architects and is organised to take on large architecture, urban planning and design projects. Their work system, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, leads them to collaborate with consultants selected specifically for each project.
