Beldarrain ARQ

Estudio BELDARRAIN has been awarded distinctions such as the National Award for Sustainable Architectural Culture from the Civitas Nova Forum 2007, Porcelanosa Sustainability Award in 2014, COAVN Housing Award 2013, finalist in the 11th Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism, in the FAD awards, Saloni awards, Living with Wood awards, AVS Euskadi awards, and COAVN Interior Design awards.

Building on the experience gained by Juan Beldarrain, studying under Joseph Paul Kleihues in Berlin and Rafael Moneo in Madrid and San Sebastián, Estudio Beldarrain began its journey in 1999.

Since then, they have developed their work understanding architecture as a service-oriented activity, which leads them to rely permanently on innovation, not as a merely aesthetic attitude but based on concepts linked to the analysis of the program, the user, the location, the economy, and construction itself.

For this reason, the studio's team is mostly composed of architects and is organized to tackle large architecture, urban planning, and design projects. Their working system, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, leads them to collaborate with advisors expressly selected for each project.
