We transformed a multi-purpose space in the Vicente Risco school in Vigo (Spain) where sport and music intermingle. Gymnastics classes take place there in the mornings and, in the afternoons, a children's orchestra prepares its concerts. It is a project that integrates children of 14 nationalities, helping in vulnerable situations and encouraging their interest in music.
However, the space had a huge reverberation problem. Instruments overlapped and sounded bad, the screams of children running around in class were deafening.
ISINAC was in charge of fitting out the hall to polish every sound without losing the essence of this lively and versatile space. With a combination of grey foam circles and others with ILUCS fabric in bright colours, plus a large Tens-Tex on the front wall with the name of the orchestra rehearsing there, the room changed completely.
A new visual game that reflects the energy of the students and the passion of their young musical group in a space to feel and enjoy.
